About the Company
MakoLab S.A. operates in the IT sector. It specializes in development and implementation of Web-based solutions for business using the latest software technologies and its own genuine projects. The company also provides services of maintenance and management of IT resources (IT outsourcing).
The enterprise was established in 1989 as MakoTypesetting, offering computer-supported DTP services. Since 1993, the company, already known as MakoLab, extended its scope of activity by sale of specialized scientific software and creation of commissioned software. In the subsequent years, the offer was broadened by introducing professional Internet and outsourcing services.
In 2007 MakoLab was transformed into a joint stock company, shares of which were published on the NewConnect market of the Warsaw Stock Exchange on 12/21/2007.
MakoLab’s activity is focused on four areas. The first one includes creation and implementation of Web solutions on commission, which consists of the so called Web services, portals and WWW pages, as well as complex visual projects.
Moreover, MakoLab is a designer of management systems developed in Web technologies. They include: Fractus – a sale management system for an organization of distributed and diverse structure, ColDis – a family of systems supporting establishment and management of shopping centers, and eSchola – a system of university management. The company also develops solutions of Business Intelligence class, utilizing Business Objects software, and sells and implements management systems by COMARCH as well.
Apart from development and implementation, MakoLab maintains and manages Internet resources of its clients, which includes hosting and management of WWW portals, e-mail accounts, e-learning platforms, as well as services of technical support and collocation of servers. For these purposes MakoLab uses its own Data Center which satisfies all required safety conditions.
Apart from activities related to software development, implementation and service provision, MakoLab sells specialized scientific software and distributes telecommunication and networking hardware of a US company Patton.
The Company’s main clients are: companies of the Renault-Nissan consortium, RCI Bnque Sogesma, Philips Lighting Poland, Apsys Polska, companies of the Cefic group (Simon/Ibanhoe), YARAEL Polska (CEGEDIM group), ArtStore, Point S Polska Sp. z o.o.
The MakoLab team includes about 70 employees, with programmers as the largest group. It is also comprises: project directors, consultants, computer graphic artists and certified computer network administrators. The Company employs salesmen working in commercial offices in Łódź and Warsaw.
MakoLab S.A. was awarded with the tile “Leader of New Technologies 2007” and the laureate of the “Solid Company 2007” contest. Moreover, the Internet page of Łódź Jewish Cemetery created by MakoLab obtained the tile of “The Golden Website 2007” of the Wprost magazine.
MakoLab supports non-profit organizations, among others: the Monumentum Iudaicum Lodzense foundation, Caritas Łódź, the Łódź Philharmonic Orchestra, Musical Theater of Łódź and the Benedictine Order.
