MakoDays 2025. Success branded with strategic maturity

If our 2024 event defined the synergy between people and algorithms, then MakoDays 2025 announced loud and clear, ‘We’re probing’. On 26th and 27th November, the newly renovated MakoLab HQ in Łódź became a hub of European innovation, drawing together technology leaders, CIOs and visionaries.

MakoDays 2025 was different from its predecessors; it was more concrete, more demanding and even more firmly rooted in the harsh realities of the market. This was not simply inspiration. It was a road map for businesses at the cutting edge.

Day 1. Time for hard data

Opening the event, MakoLab’s CTO, Piotr Ignaczak, set the tone within the first few minutes. His talk, The current state of AI, was no courtesy intro, but a solidly data-driven market analysis. The message was clear. The technology is ready and that begs this question; is your business ready to scale it?

This year, our emphasis was on practice rather than theory. Instead of corporate platitudes, we provided the participants with candid insights into the pros and cons of AI transformations in large organisations.

·     Thierry Folliot (Group CIO, Jiliti Group) captivated his audience with a talk on the challenges of AI adoption and transforming problems into concrete action plans.

·     Professor Martin Hepp (CEO and Chief Scientist, Hepp Research GmbH) explained how, in this age of algorithms, brands have to redefine their market communication, treating data as the fuel for the new economy.

Technology that’s at work right here and now

MakoDays 2025 offered proof that innovation is no longer solely the domain of start-ups, but is just as much the operational reality of corporate giants. Some of the main stage presentations offered fascinating case studies.

·     The automotive industry: Mateusz Rakusa-Suszczewski (Renault Polska) showed the attendees how to weave AI, data and security into a cohesive strategy.

·     FinTech: Sören Babra (CEO, Payair Technologies), presented a model for combating payment frauds in Scandinavia, demonstrating how AI builds trust.

·     Cybersecurity: MakoLab expert Maciej Grela poured the cold water of reality on any excess of enthusiasm, advocating convincingly for a secure design approach in this era of LLM-generated threats.

The icing on the cake came from MakoLab’s Director of Digital Solutions, Jacek Popko. Live, in a session entitled Talk to data, he proved that the barrier between business questions and analytical answers has ceased to exist.

The quantum future

We never hide from tough topics at MakoLab. Our founder, Mirek Sopek, PhD, gave a talk on the intersection of AI and quantum computing, challenging the status quo and opening our eyes to a future that’s closer than we think. .

A counterbalance to technological optimism came from a panel discussion, Responsible AI. Moderated by distinguished ethicist Professor Katarzyna de Lazari-Radek and featuring Professor Martin Hepp, Dr Mirek Sopek and attorney-at-law Dariusz Czuchaj as panellists, it was an intellectual feast confirming that responsible innovation is the one and only right way forward.

Networking? Where else but in the setting of the Louvre of Łódź!

Our new-look HQ provided coffee breaks and lunch in the relaxed surroundings of café hubs guaranteed to break the ice and encourage fruitful discussions.

Then, in the evening, our MakoDinner took networking to a whole new level. The setting for this spectacular event was the Poznański Family Palace. The sumptuous interiors of one of the grandest and most important sites from our city’s industrial past formed an astounding backdrop to all the conversations about the future of technology. It as a moment when history and futurology came together while business relations, surrounded by art, were reinforced over exquisite cuisine.

Day 2. Time to roll up your sleeves and go hands-on

While Day 1 set out the vision, Day 2 answered the question of how to achieve it. Our Parallel Tracks offered participants a series of topic-based deep-dive sessions and interactive workshops. From in-depth analyses to deploying agile solutions, our packed practical programme equipped our guests with tools ready for immediate implementation.

Summary. Building the future... together

MakoDays 2025 confirmed that MakoLab isn’t merely an observer of digital transformation, but is actively shaping it. This year’s event broke all our previous records and for that we’d like to thank all our speakers, partners and guests.

Your energy and commitment are the best proof there is that the future is created by way of collaboration and the exchange of practical knowledge.

The future is here. See you next year!
