MakoLab 2025. People, processes and technologies in synergy

2025 was a time of verification for the entire tech industry. At MakoLab, we adopted a concrete, practical approach from the very start of the year. Every innovation had to be tightly linked to a business goal. Rather than following trends, we would actively shape them. responding to the demands of a market that went on grow by 22% over those twelve months. Our driving concept was to build solutions where advanced technologies are amplified by skilled people and streamlined processes, creating values which exceed the sum of their parts. A few of our successful 2025 projects and initiatives are outlined in this article, proof of that concept’s effectiveness.

With the tech industry growing by 22% and generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) swelling 134-fold over two years, models like GPT-5 and Gemini 3 Flash entered the stage. Yet despite this digital frenzy, at MakoLab we never lost sight of the most vital truth. At the end of an intensive year, our crucial conclusion is this, in and of itself, technology simply isn’t enough. The true value and transformative power are born of a synergy between three elements, skilled people, efficient processes and high-quality data.

Deployment. Where innovation and business reality meet

Our focus in 2025 was on solutions that have a real impact on financial results, sustainable development and user experience.

·    Success in the automotive industry: we deployed Vehicle Profile, a system tailor-made for a leading European automotive OEM. Designed to manage lifecycle data for vehicles produced from 2005 onwards, Vehicle Profile is the result of 3.5 years of development, leveraging our previous success with the CAFÉ application for reporting CO2 emissions.

·    Changing the game in Poland’s FMCG sector: MakoLab launched an innovative culinary assistant custom-built for uwielbiam.pl, a website run by leading Central and Eastern European food industry player Grupa Maspex. The first AI-powered chatbot in the sector, it is based on retrieval augmented generation (RAG) architecture and integrates cutting-edge AI models and cloud technologies. It holds natural conversations, delivers precise answers to diverse culinary queries and supports users in real time, optimising their experience. Scalability, security and cost optimisation are ensured, authentic engagement is built and uwielbiam.pl brand image of high quality and reliability is enhanced.

This MakoLab solution offers enormous potential for deployment in other sectors, including e-commerce, insurance and banking, where customer self-service is vital.

·    Technology for scale and visibility: our comprehensive overhaul and modernisation of the sjp.pwn website for renowned Polish educational and publishing icon Wydawnictwo Naukowe PWN S.A. bore fruit in a 30% increase in indexed subpages. This translates directly into higher browser visibility and enhanced SEO, along with a rise in organic traffic.

MakoDays and a global exchange of knowledge

We firmly believe in a culture of expertise, but we also know that knowledge only grows when it’s shared. In that respect, 2025 was a major year.

·    MakoDays 2025: our flagship event was filled to capacity as we hosted around ninety partners and experts, with our interactive AI Discovery workshop giving our guests the opportunity of stepping beyond theory, rolling up their sleeves and getting to work on the ‘living organism’ of their own business challenges.

·    The global expansion of knowledge: our horizons stretched way beyond Łódź and Warsaw, as we:

o made our debut at the VivaTech event in Paris;

o hosted a delegation of more than fifty Council of the European Union representatives;

o  took part in meetings with economic missions from Japan, China and Taiwan,

reinforcing our position as a solid partner in business and technology dialogues.

·    Educating the market: our MakoWebinar series saw our experts sharing their knowledge in a range of fields, including AI chatbot security, optimising Microsoft AI, Pulsar data streaming and product lifecycle management, including our Product Lifecycle Manager.

In-house transformations. Investing in the MakoLab powerhouse

If we want to deliver innovation to the outside world, we need to be innovative within our MakoWorld. In 2025, we made some vital organisational changes to take us to new levels.

·    Consolidating forces: we introduced a fresh MakoLab/Data Centre structure, merging two departments and forging a single DevOps team.

The result? We’ve not only significantly reduced the time required to implement services, but also increased both the scalability and flexibility of our infrastructure.

·    Our HQ: we were delighted to present our redesigned, newly modernised and streamlined environment during MakoDays 2025.

·    The voice of the team: we introduced our Service Idea Box, the MakoLab in-house concepts incubator. We believe that the best ideas are often conceived on the front line, among the developers and experts directly engaged in projects, so we created a way for them to take those thoughts further.

ESG and nurturing people

In a world where 90% of cyberattacks are powered by AI and compliance regulations are getting steadily more rigorous, trust has become the new currency.

·    Recognition and standards: in 2025, we received the Łódź Province Economic Awards Responsible Business title and a Friendly Business certificate. We also started working intensively on implementing ESG reporting in line with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).

·    People first and foremost: in our view, responsibility is primarily about looking after our team. 2025 saw the initiation of our Stress Barometer, an anonymous in-house tool for keeping an eye on our staff’s well-being. We also received a Friendly Recruitment certificate, confirming the extremely high candidate experience standards we maintain.

Networking and know-how

We joined the Belgian Business Chamber (BBC) and the Polish-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Polska). We were also involved in the work of IPMA (International Project Management Association) Polska, building bridges forged from collaboration and management standards.

In a nutshell. Solid foundations for the future

Looking back on 2025, we can see not only a portfolio of successfully completed projects but, above all, a sturdy bedrock for the future. We can also see robotisation entering warehouses and homes, AI becoming an integrated part of supply chains and edge computing revolutionising the way systems work.

At MakoLab, we’re more than ready for those changes. We’ve stepped out into 2026 with a powerful, motivated team and firmly established technology partnerships with AWS, TD SYNNEX, OVHcloud, StreamNative and Strapi. And we’re armed with a clear strategic vision rooted in people, processes and technologies.

Thank you for joining us on our journey. The future is being built now... and we’re building it together.
