We are proud to announce that, in collaboration with Maspex SA, a leader on the Central and Eastern European food market, we have deployed a state-of-the-art, AI-based system on the Uwielbiam.pl platform, which describes itself as “made by foodies for foodies”. Our chatbot system opens up a smooth path to culinary inspiration for the website’s users, who can simply ask questions as they would in a natural conversation, like “What can I make with potatoes and tomatoes?” or “How can I adapt this recipe so it’s suitable for vegans?”
Rooted in advanced technologies such as Claude, a large language model (LLM) from Anthropic, LangChain and Amazon Bedrock, from Amazon Web Services, the solution was designed to carry out natural conversations with Uwielbiam.pl users, providing precise, contextual answers about culinary matters.
The system was built to respond to culinary questions, eliminating the risk of unsuitable or random answers. It also puts forward alternative suggestions adapted to each user’s needs, such as proposals for different variants of recipes or potential modifications to ingredients, to give just two examples.
The chat is fully integrated with the extensive Uwielbiam.pl recipe base, meaning that users benefit to the full from the platform’s resources as the chat provides help with making meals from the ingredients they have to hand. This innovative tool, which is available to logged-in users, makes it possible to hold fast, intuitive conversations about recipes.
The project deployment process took a mere six months. The solution, which was launched in June 2024, operates on the basis of AWS infrastructure and Maspex’s local resources.
The new chat for Uwielbiam.pl is not only the first of its kind in Poland, custom-designed for the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, but also one of only a few in Europe. The initiative is proof that state-of-the-art technology is just as good at helping individual users as entire business sectors and it serves as an example of how advanced artificial intelligence can support digital transformation, enhancing efficacy, increasing accessibility and personalising online services. This solution is a perfect match for the dynamically developing digitalisation of the FMCG sector, opening up new prospects not only for users, but also for businesses in search of innovative ways of engaging consumers with their online channels. That makes it a potential inspiration for business leaders on the hunt for practical means of applying artificial intelligence to optimise their processes and build their competitive advantage.
