Global provider and European leader in the cloud computing sector OVHcloud has entered into a partnership with MakoLab. The primary purpose of the joint initiative is to support organisations in regulated industries, including energy, finance, healthcare, transportation and critical infrastructure, as they implement artificial intelligence solutions. The collaboration, which is rooted in transparency, control and regulatory compliance, combines MakoLab’s expertise in AI integration, process automation and operational reliability with OVHcloud’s European cloud infrastructure.
As the artificial intelligence shift onwards from the pilot and experimentation phase gathers momentum, with AI becoming an integral part of real-world business deployments, model performance is not the only critical aspect. Reliability, monitoring and operational control are now equally as crucial. In regulated sectors, this transformation requires a carefully designed and operationally managed technology environment that enables organisations to handle not only performance and scalability, but also data residency, infrastructure oversight, regulatory compliance, operational resilience and reducing dependence on non-European providers. Against this backdrop, the choice of cloud environment has extended beyond being simply a technology decision to become a key component of regulatory risk management.
Under the collaboration, OVHcloud will provide cloud environments designed to support AI workloads. This will include: computing resources; data storage and processing capabilities; data stream management; and secure cloud architectures. MakoLab will utilise these capabilities in designing, integrating, deploying and supporting AI solutions for organisations operating in regulated environments.
The joint effort will support use cases ranging from conversational AI, semantic search, intelligent process automation and document processing solutions, to systems leveraging machine learning, predictive analytics, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures and knowledge graphs. AI-powered customer service platforms, intelligent document processing for financial institutions, ‘talk to your data’ solutions and decision-support systems are just a few examples of use cases.
Our partnership with OVHcloud reflects the growing adoption of sovereign cloud infrastructure as the foundation for AI deployments in regulated sectors. We will be collaborating across the entire AI lifecycle, from strategy development and solution prototyping to implementation, operational support, scaling and joint initiatives supporting market growth.
