Unlocking faster, better decisions and efficiency. A MakoWebinar

Data streaming, which is becoming crucial to numerous industrial sectors, facilitates fast decision-making and optimises business processes. Technologies like Apache Pulsar and Apache Flink are revolutionising the way that companies manage their information flow and respond to events as they happen.

AT MakoLab, we don’t follow trends. We actively shape them, which was why we held a webinar on 13th November in conjunction with one of our partners, StreamNative. Entitled Stream to Value. Unlock faster decisions and efficiency, the event was led by MakoLab experts Łukasz Kubala, Head of Business Unit, and Rafał Trójczak, PhD, Senior Big Data Developer, together with Kundan Vyas, Staff Product Manager at StreamNative. They discussed how, by leveraging Apache Pulsar and Apache Flink, the StreamNative platform forms the foundation for real-time operations and transforms data into real business results.

Has that captured your interest?

From architecture to deployment. A ready-to-leverage solution

The programme offered more than just theory, with our experts addressing a number of practical points.

  • How architecture built on Pulsar and Flink solves real problems that our clients have been struggling with, like scattered data sources and the hunger for instant insights.
  • Deployment-ready streaming data meshes for use in your organisation.

The role of components like Ursa Engine and Managed Flink in driving alerting and prediction systems and continuous process optimisation.

The participants also found out how Pulsar works in conjunction with other technologies, like Kafka, for instance, on the StreamNative Cloud platform and what deployment models are available.

Case study. A vehicle data hub

Another of the key aspects of the webinar was the real-life case study, which looked at a vehicle data hub. Using this concrete example, our team demonstrated how the architecture they had been talking about was deployed in a fleet vehicle management system in order to deliver operational intelligence on a massive scale.

They also emphasised the vital point that turning to platform-as-a-service (PaaS) facilitates a dramatic reduction in the risk, costs and operational complexity which traditionally goes hand in hand with building in-house stream processing systems.

More than just automotive. Universal potential

The team underscored the fact that, although their case study was rooted in the automotive industry, the solution and architecture they had been presenting are universal in terms of their potential use. They are crucial anywhere where what counts is a rapid response to data, including sectors like the IoT, finance, insurance, logistics and retail.

Summary

Deploying data streaming grounded in technology like Pulsar and Flink is not in the slightest a passing trend. It brings genuine benefits in the form of increased operational effectiveness, faster, more informed decision-making and the creation of new services for clients and customers.

So don’t delay, but watch the recording right away!
Our thanks go to everyone who took part for their active engagement and thought-provoking questions.
