What influences a site’s position?

There are many factors that affect the position of a particular site in search engine results. These factors are both internal (on the site) and external (quality of links leading to the site) factors. We deal with both.
Each project begins with an SEO Auditduring which we analyse the site and prepare recommendations concerning all technical aspects, content and semantics. The appropriate preparation and optimisation of the page is the first step in the process of Search Engine Optimisation.

Working on a page’s optimisation we focus, inter alia, on the following factors:

    • Website code – to make sure it is in accordance with the Google guidelines,
    • Site structure – to prepare page addresses in a way so that users and search engine crawlers can easily reach the content,
    • Content - unique content is much more appealing to Google, especially when it can attract a user and keep him on the site longer,
    • Others - relevant for a given site.

Optimisation of the site for search engines should be an ongoing process due to the fact that Google's algorithms are constantly evolving, as well as the forms in which results are displayed and the ways that users search for desired content.

During the project, we monitor traffic, site rankings, keywords popular among users, both in desktop and mobile browsers. Based on the analysis of that data, we draw conclusions, share them with our clients and then plan further actions to be taken. Close co-operation with the customer is the basis for a successful project.

For several years we have been supporting Renault in SEO activities in Poland, Austria, Switzerland and the Middle East. We carry out consultancy projects in the area of SEO for other branches of company and we also support the implementation of new communication solutions through our SEO consulting.

In addition, owing to our well-developed expertise in the field of the semantic web, we also offer Semantic SEO Consulting services. As part of our semantic consultancy services we advise how to implement structured mark-up data tags designed and developed by schema.org. When engaged, it enables search engine algorithms to better understand information contained on a website, ultimately leading to richer and more accurate search results for your company. MakoLab’s experts know which elements of a site can be interpreted and displayed by Google in a more user-friendly and accessible manner.

We use methods that are accepted by the Google search engine quality guidelines. We also belong to the IAB Poland and work in accordance with the best practices for SEO.
