MakoLab surges ahead with excellent Q3 results

MakoLab published its Q3 report on 14th November this year, showing a growth in sales and increasing profitability in comparison with 2021. Net sales revenues totalled PLN 51,139,000 and were 28% higher than for the analogical period last year. There was also a clear improvement in profitability indicators. The year-on-year EBITDA result for the first three quarters rose by 42%, reaching PLN 4,759,000.
The summary for Q3 2022 is first and foremost good news in that the company is maintaining its sales growth. Total sales for the period attained the level of PLN 51,139,.000. Domestic and foreign sales grew at the same pace of 28%, with the latter constituting an 82% share of the revenues. The company can also be proud of a 42% rise in the EBITDA result, which has been increasing ever since the beginning of the year. The net profit for Q3 2022 was PLN 3,577,000, as compared to PLN 1,833.000 for 2021, representing a growth of 95%. As in previous years, MakoLab’s driving force is the creation of software for connected vehicles and the implementation of custom-designed business systems.
The past few months have been very intensive for us. We’ve been carrying out projects that had already been commissioned, working on winning new orders and giving a lot of thought to the forthcoming years. Most of our work has been on digital systems commissioned by our clients in the automotive and financial sectors. We’ve also recorded an increase in revenues from our IT outsourcing services for the Polish market. We’re still looking for new experts, because we’re continually being asked about the possibility of scaling up and of carrying out new projects. That means higher operating costs, of course, but, as the financial data presented in the report shows, we’re succeeding in managing that properly.

Recent months have also involved a great deal of activity designed to build the company’s portfolio of orders for next year. Making the most of a grant awarded by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development under its ‘Go To Brand’ programme, MakoLab has been attending major sectoral events, actively showcasing what it has to offer.
Trade fairs and conferences like MOVE, in London, Car-HMI, in Berlin, and AutoTech: Europe, in Munich, are crucial events for the sectors we operate in. We’re a presence at every one of them as an exhibitor and we’ve brought some interesting contacts away from all of them. We firmly believe that a number of new clients will appear at the end of that sales funnel, ready to buy our services in 2023.

The company’s representatives were a presence at several other major events, as well, including Money 20/20, in Amsterdam, and Web Summit, in Lisbon. As well as forging business contacts, they paid close attention to the directions of growth in digital services in the context of broadening the company’s range.

During Q3, MakoLab began preparing for, and working on, implementing further standards and obtaining more certificates confirming its quality-based approach to carrying out IT projects.
As we collaborate with automotive and financial companies, in other words, with sectors where the security and quality requirements are exceptionally high, we have an obligation to work constantly on our compliance with international standards. After ISO 27001 and TISAX, it was time to implement more. We’ve begun working towards ISO 9001, 14001 and 45002, enabling us to free up our potential for taking on more projects for current and new clients alike. We’re planning to obtain certification for those three standards in 2023.
